HYDROTHERMIA
Hydrothremia is a line that I created for Hurley Snow. I wanted to call the line Hydrothermia because I think nods at water in all states including frozen. I also created an example of a marketing tool. This commercial is one that I created using clips of videos that I found to get the idea and feel that I was going for. I used Incubus for the music because I know how involved they are with Hurley and it says my name!
GODDESS
Goddess was greated for a class my junior year at ISU. The project was to create your own orginal theme, develop a mood board, colorways, target market, technical flats, and textile designs. Once you created the textile designs, you were to use clipping mask techniques to render the patterns across the technical flats.
FEMME TORTEUEX
Femme Torteuex also known at Devious Woman was created for my Draping class. In this class we were to completely drape a garment on a form, do the patterning, prototype, final, costing, production sewing guides, technical flats, and I created an example of a marketing commercial to use to help sell the garment.
HORSE POWER
Horse Power is a line I created once I did a SWAT Analysis on Coach Inc. I noticed that Coach Inc. was experiencing a decrease in sales in men's accessories. I was inspired to do a line that was tailored more towards men and their interest. I chose to do luxury cars. Each handbag that I made takes design details from certian luxury cars. I created this commercial to help sell the idea and to give the feel that I wanted these handbags to give the men that buy them. Below is the rendered technical flats that were created for this line. The Bugatti design was inspired by the popular colors of the Bugatti. The leathers that were chosen were because of the surface detail they had and how they resembled the tires.
The Maserati was designed to have a minimalistic feel. Color blocking has been very popular in the past seasons. I chose to color block in a triangle to represent the aerodynamics of the car.
The Ferrari was inspired by the fire engine red that you see to resemble how daring the owner is. I also wanted to add detail to the pockets with twist lock pockets that open up in the same motion that the Ferrari Suicide Doors do.
The Lamborghini was designed by pulling colors from the logo. I also wanted to add rounded edges because of the silhouette of the car. The piping detail was added to the handbag because the seats in the Lamborghini have the same piping detail in them.
